"a peeper is just a peeper"

well this afternoon i thought i would try jackson in underpants and see what happened. well, nothing really happened but i had the funniest conversation with him while he was sitting on the potty.

jack - mom, why do i have a man peeper?

me - because you are a boy.

jack - why doesn't it talk to me?

me - peepers can't talk.

jack - does my peeper have a mouth?

me - pointing to his big toe, "does your toe have a mouth?"

jack - i know my peeper doesn't have a mouth

me - how come?

jack - my peeper doesn't have a mouth because my peeper is just a peeper!

i know that we aren't using correct terminology in our home but when i tried, it never seemed to stick.
